Join Artist Erica Qualey for a 2-day in-person watercolor workshop where you’ll learn to paint flowers, foliage, and trees with a focus on creating natural, vibrant landscapes. You’ll explore wet-into-wet techniques to achieve soft, flowing transitions and learn how to balance color saturation and color temperatures to bring your botanicals to life. By mastering how to layer and blend greens, capture light and shadow, and emphasize the delicate luminosity of florals, you'll create dynamic, glowing compositions. Through guided exercises and personalized instruction, you'll gain the tools to integrate your botanical subjects seamlessly into their environment, making them feel full of light and natural beauty. Perfect for artists of all levels eager to enhance their watercolor skills and deepen their understanding of nature painting!
This in-person class will be held at Wanderwood.
Students are expected to bring their own painting supplies and will receive a supply list prior to class. This class is open to all levels of painting ability.
